Privacy Policy

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers, partners, contacts and website visitors; this policy sets out how we treat your personal information.

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

We have set out below the various ways in which we use personal information and in each case detailed our legal basis for processing that data.

When you purchase a product from us

We will collect only the information we require to fulfill your order and use it only for that purpose. This might include names, addresses and contact details such as telephone numbers and email addresses. As you will enter into a contract with us when you make your purchase this contract is the legal basis by which we process any personal data provided to us in relation to your order.

When you use our websites

By default we do not collect any personal information from you when you simply browse our websites, for this reason no legal basis is required when you do this. We do use cookies on our all our sites and you can read our cookie policy here.

In the event that you decide to contact us, to request a service or to sign up for something on our website we will only collect the information you provide at that point and we will also ask for your consent to fulfil your request. The information you provide us will only be used to deliver the service that you requested. Our legal basis in this instance is the consent you have given, and you can remove this consent at any time by contacting us.

If you purchase a product from one of our websites, please refer to the section above.

When you sign up for marketing or product information

Bott representatives often attend trade shows and other events which provide the opportunity for you to connect with us to receive information about our products and services. As described above, you can also sign up for the same or similar information on our websites. If you choose to sign up with us to receive such information then we will collect just the personal information required to provide you with this. Again our legal basis for processing your data in this case is the consent you give to us and you can remove this consent at any time by contacting us.

How long do we keep your data?

Bott retains personal data in line with our legal requirements and contractual arrangements therefore retention times can vary. When we no longer have a legal basis or contractual need to keep your data we will delete it.

As described above, in the event that you have given us consent to hold your data, e.g. so that we can provide you with information on Bott products, services or events you can contact us to remove this consent. We will also provide a mechanism for you to unsubscribe from communications if we contact you electronically.

Who do we share your data with?

Bott will only share personal data with trusted third parties in order to deliver the products and services requested by our customers. This is limited to:

  • Delivery companies
  • Maintenance/Service companies
  • Payment processing services

Bott will never sell your data or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
